Privacy policy

The short version

This site has no accounts, no forms, no cookies, and no advertising. The NotchViber app runs entirely on your Mac and sends us nothing. The little data that exists is listed below in full.

1. Who is responsible

Birol Aksu, Am Volkspark 77, 10715 Berlin, Germany. Contact: contact@notchviber.com. See the Impressum.

2. Data processed by this website

Server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you load a page or download the app, Vercel processes your IP address, user agent, and the requested URL in server logs for operation and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the site securely. Vercel participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; see Vercel's privacy policy.

Web analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, does not track you across sites, and stores no personal profile. It records anonymized page views and a download-click event so we can see which pages are read and how often the app is downloaded. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring aggregate site usage.

What we do not do

  • No cookies, no consent banners needed, nothing to accept.
  • No third-party trackers, ad networks, or social media embeds.
  • No sale or sharing of data for marketing.

3. Data processed by the NotchViber app

None reaches us. The app reads Claude Code transcript files under ~/.claude/projects locally on your Mac, makes no network calls, contains no telemetry, and never transmits code, prompts, usage data, or credentials anywhere. Updates are not checked automatically; you download new versions yourself.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, plus the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we hold no personal data about you beyond transient hosting logs operated by Vercel, most requests will be answerable immediately: there is nothing on file. Contact contact@notchviber.com for anything.
